親父が死んだと告げてから
パッタリと書き込みが止まったりすると、あたかも悲しみに暮れ続けているように見えたりするのかもしれない。
けどそういうわけではなくって、単純に忙しくってたまらなかったわけです。
葬式後にも、なんだかいろいろあるからね。
まだ、やらなければならないことの半分も終わってません。
気が重いナリ〜……。

って、話があっちに行ったりこっちに行ったり……。
頭が混乱してイラつき気味なので、スクリッティ・ポリッティの久々の新譜『White Bread Black Beer』を聴いて強制リフレッシュ中です。
スクリッティ・ポリッティといえば、やっぱりこれですね。
そう、セカンド・アルバムの『Cupid And Psyche '86』。
「Wood Beez」「Absolute」「The Word Girl」等、いつも12インチ・シングルのリミックスがすごくて、発売されるや速攻で買いに走った記憶があります。
「The Word Girl」の12インチのセカンド・プレスには、ファースト・プレスに入ってなかったターンテーブル・メガ・ミックスが入ってたりして、「くそぅ……また買わなきゃならないのか」といじめられたような気分になったものですよ。
で、今作ですが、これがもう癒し効果満点です。
「アンタいったい何歳だよ？」と激しくツッコミを入れたくなるほど、グリーン・ガートサイドの甘いオカマ声も変化なしです。
ちょっと感動した。
この夏のヘビロテ決定だな。
けど、このジャケットはどうか？
