ビースティ・ボーイズ『撮られっぱなし天国』
前から逃したくないと思っていたビースティ・ボーイズの映画『撮られっぱなし天国』、試写会最終日にようやく観ることができました。
2004年にNYマジソン・スクエア・ガーデンで開催されたライヴの当日、観客50人にビデオ・カメラを手渡して思い思いのライヴ映像を撮影させた作品です。
奇抜なアイデアが、いかにもビースティーズですなあ。
集まった映像を監督のナサニエル・ホーンブロウワーが編集してドキュメンタリー・フィルムに仕立てたわけだが、映像の処理もおもしろくて一時間半があっという間にすぎてしまいましたぜ。
あ、ちなみにナサニエル・ホーンブロウワーはMCAことアダム・ヤウクの別名ですので。
今月の29日からレイトショー公開されるそうですが、これはチェキッた方がいいすよ。
定点カメラで捕えられたミックスマスター・マイクの超絶ターンテーブル・プレイ、そしてキレすぎたマニー・マークのパフォーマンスも見どころざんす。
あ、そうそう！
世界、いや宇宙一のビートボクサーである（断定！）伝説の男ダグ・E.・フレッシュもゲストで出てきますぜ！
相変わらずスキルがハンパないです。
それに、彼を呼ぼうというビースティーズのキャスティング・センスが見事すぎ。
そういえば、ダグ・E.・フレッシュのサイトでモノスゲー写真発見！
なんとダグ・E（左）にLLクール・J（右）、それからUTFOのオールドスクール・ショットだ！
UTFOのDJであるミックスマスター・アイス、相変わらずポーズ決めてますなあ！
だけどもうひとりはドクター・アイス？ それともカンゴール・キッド？
後者であると思われるが、2人組になっちゃったのかな？
はい、また話が飛びましたー。
