今日で
ゴールデン・ウィークも終わりらしいのだが、ちっとも仕事が終わらない。
ずっと働きづめで、今日になってようやく一条の光が見えてきたという感じだが、どうあれバカンスとは無関係の時間をすごしてしまったのだった。
昼間はずっと戦前のブルースばかり聴いていた。
でも、何枚も続けて聴くとさすがに飽きてきて、甘いソウルが聴きたくなった。
で、チョイスしたのがこれ。
ワシントンD.C.の4人組コーラス・グループ、モデュレイションズ唯一のアルバム『イッツ・ラフ・アウト・ヒア』だ。
謎の多いグループだけど、ファルセットを活かしたリードと甘いコーラスの対比がすごくいい。
バックはMFSBですぜ。
さて、仕事はまだ続くのだ。
もうちょっと、がんばろう。
